  • Treat spills immediately to prevent staining — jute fibres are naturally absorbent.
  • Blot spills gently with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel — never rub or oversaturate with water.
  • Avoid steam cleaning, shampooing, or soaking the rug, as excess moisture can damage the fibres.
  • Allow any damp areas to dry quickly using air circulation — do not leave moisture sitting in the weave.
  • A rug pad is recommended to prevent slipping, protect flooring, and help extend the life of your rug.
  • Avoid placing the rug in damp areas or on wet floors, and protect it from prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Do not drag heavy furniture across the rug, as this may distort the natural weave.
